About Floor Densification & Concrete Polishing
Floor densification uses a penetrating chemical hardener that reacts inside the concrete itself — increasing surface density and abrasion resistance, reducing dusting and absorption of oil, grease and liquids, and neutralising the alkalinity that causes efflorescence.
Unlike a coating, it does not add a film on top of the slab, so there is nothing to peel or delaminate. It is a practical, budget option for warehouses, distribution centres and plant floors that need a harder, cleaner surface without a full epoxy system.
Benefits
Stronger, more durable surface
Increases density and abrasion resistance of the existing slab.
Breathable, low absorption
Reduces surface absorption of liquids yet still allows moisture vapour transmission.
Resists tire marks & stains
Cuts black tire marks and reduces absorption of oil and grease.
Eliminates efflorescence
Neutralises surface alkali that otherwise causes white efflorescence staining.
No coating to fail
Reacts within the concrete — nothing applied on top to peel or blister.
Satin sheen, naturally slip resistant
Develops an attractive sheen without the glassy slipperiness of some coatings.

|---|---|
| Surface | Develops a satin sheen on bare or ground concrete |
| Best suited for | Sound, reasonably level existing concrete slabs |
| Maintenance | Dry or damp mopping — no re-coating required |
Values are typical. Final specification depends on site conditions and the selected product system.
