About EPU Flooring (Epoxy-Polyurethane Hybrid)
EPU flooring fuses epoxy and polyurethane polymers in one system, combining the hardness and chemical resistance of epoxy with the flexibility and impact tolerance of PU. The result is a floor with a better appearance, higher impact resistance and more give under load than straight epoxy.
It suits areas that need strong corrosion and erosion resistance along with some flexibility — a middle ground when a site needs more than standard epoxy but a full PU concrete system is not required.
Benefits
Corrosion & erosion resistance
Fused resin system holds up well against chemical and mechanical wear.
Moderate flexibility
Better tolerance of minor substrate movement than rigid epoxy.
Higher impact resistance
Copes better with dropped tools and trolley impact.
Good appearance
Smooth, attractive finish suited to production and process areas.
